Roles • Provide technical leadership to a team of young build and quality engineers • Lead the automation agenda (build, test, reporting, etc.) • Work with the Quality, Engineering, Product teams to determine the feasibility of a solution; including, but not limited to: o Investigation o Prototyping o Design o Documentation o Reviewing Functional specifications o Creating Technical specifications and high level design documents • Ensure quality engineering team is aligned with current and evolving patterns and practices • Provide Product, Engineering and Quality teams with technical expertise

• Strong Java knowledge a must (Knowledge of C# or C++ preferred ) • Experience with build, code coverage, deployment, automation and reporting frameworks o ANT, Java, EMMA, Web services • Refactoring and Re-engineering of large systems • Performance tuning of large systems • Unit test frameworks / automation • Distributed computing of large systems / products o J2EE/RMI/CORBA systems • Knowledge of XML/XSLT/ HTML/JSP/ Servlets • Experience in architecting and designing highly scalable, high performance enterprise software systems and or automation tools • Experience in monitoring, alerting and scheduling tools • Knowledge of application servers ( JBoss/Weblogic/Websphere/Resin) • Experience in J2EE technologies – JDBC, JMS, JNDI, Security – JAAS, SAML • Experience in J2EE frameworks - Spring, Struts, AJAX, Apache Axis, SpringMVC • Strong RDBMS knowledge a must • Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and processes • Knowledge of profilers (Purify, JProfiler) • Experience in SOA, web services and SOAP • Application security knowledge an added plus • Strong ability to quickly grasp technical issues and lead to a resolution • Strong communication skills both at an individual and team level • Effective organizational skills; ability to multi-task. • Ability to mentor engineering teams in implementing best practices • Developing ideas and presenting them to peers and management. • Actively participate in the development process, as needed • Prior experience in Finance and Banking systems is a plus

The position will be reporting to the Director of Quality Engineering Ability to Administer and Deploy Automation tools will be an added advantage
